Mrs. Dole has repeatedly made remarks supporting armed conflict when necessary. “This war we must win even if it takes American troops to do it.” “My answer is yes if NATO and the Chiefs of Staff say it is necessary.” “We should carry out the mission as swiftly as possible.” This is probably an issue that voters consider when deciding to vote for a female candidate. Would she be decisive and timely enough regarding engaging in armed conflict? Detractors may remark about conflicts. But it is rather obvious that in certain situations the best thing is to act swiftly and prevent worse problems. Was the reaction of the administration in office adequate?
